Fast. Simple. Delicious. Blue cheese crostini is a pungent-sweet appetizer just waiting to be elevated further with the right tea pairing. Introducing Amaretto back tea with its nutty, rich flavor – the taste reminds me of an Amaretto Sour. Blue cheese and nuttiness are such an interesting combination, so worth trying.
Ingredients
French baguette
1/2 pear cut into long thin slices
2 oz Chiriboga blue cheese
Olive oil for drizzling
1 oz chopped walnuts
Honey for drizzling
Preheat oven to 400F. Slice 6 half-inch pieces of baguette and lightly drizzle both sides with olive oil. Place the slices on a parchment paper lined tray and into the oven for 8 minutes. Now, the baguette slices have become crostini. Wait for 5 minutes to cool.
Spread about a half teaspoon of blue cheese onto each crostini and top with pear slices. Drizzle with honey and add chopped walnuts. Serve with Amaretto black tea. Irresistible!
